Ignis D2 Fairway Wood $269.00 USD
Product description

Make the difficult shots feel easier

Fairway woods have a reputation for being one of the harder clubs in the bag. The IGNIS D2 is designed to make them easier to trust.

Its easy-launching, forgiving design helps produce a more stable and predictable ball flight, giving you greater control on long shots from the fairway and a dependable option when accuracy matters.

A variable-thickness face helps preserve ball speed when contact moves away from the center. The carbon crown lowers the center of gravity to promote an easier launch, while the next-generation Hyper 17-4 stainless steel body provides a strong and reliable platform for consistent performance.

The D2 is designed to produce more spin for better control and a more predictable flight. An adjustable adapter sleeve and interchangeable weights let you fine-tune launch, spin, and forgiveness to better suit your swing.

Great fairwaywood, great feel, beautiful design

Great fairwaywood, great feel, beautiful design
A bit more sensitive on the face than expected (scratches first round...)

But I can recommend the Ignis😀

Takomo has a good direct to customer- service, but it comes with a cost of course.
And that's the lack of support:
Slow, AI-driven, difficult to get in contact etc

Happy to hear you're enjoying the feel and the design!

Sorry to hear your experience with customer support didn't quite match your expectations. We're continuously working to improve our response times and the overall support experience. Every message is reviewed by our team, and feedback like yours helps us get better.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts, we really appreciate it!

I recently bought the 3 and 7 wood and have been

I recently bought the 3 and 7 wood and have been hitting them beautifully. Nice sound on impact and hitting further and straighter for sure.
One downside is the lettering on the adapter.
N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE AND SW.
Wasn't sure what these referred to as no information arrived with my woods.
No information on website either. Only some pictures that show woods with different adapters.
Takoma we're quick to respond when I queried this and supplied a chart explaining the lettering as to lie angle and loft.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the feedback - great to hear you are enjoying your new fairway woods!

I picked up the 5 & 7 wood

I picked up the 5 & 7 wood. I can't say enough Looks great behind the ball. Stupid easy to hit. Just this weekend I was 237 yards out on a 523 yard par (286 yard drive with my Ignis driver). High and soft approach resulted in a 17ft eagle!

Love what Takoma is doing!

I purchased the 7 wood and I love it

I purchased the 7 wood and I love it. I will say, I have an above 100 mph swing speed with my fairway woods, that doesn't produce the best results but not to worry. If I relax a little and swing a little slower, a little less effort, the results are amazing. If you are a mid to high handicap, you will love the fairway woods. Super easy to launch. If you are like me, a lower handicap, just slow the swing down a little bit and enjoy the results. As you can see in my picture, I look at my 7 wood with love in my eyes 😁

Ignus D2 7W, with stiff flex is my favorite club in the bag.

I have the 7W, with stiff flex. This has become one of my favorite clubs. I also have a Callaway AI Smoke 5W and despite what Rick Sheils said in his review of the Ignis D2 fairway woods not going very far, my 7W carries just what I would expect a 7W to carry compared to my 4i and 5w, where the Ignus D2 7w is about 15-20 yards longer than my 4i and about 15-20 yards shorter than my 5w. Also, this is so much more forgiving that my Callaway 5w, that I've found myself hitting my D2 7w off the tee on tight fairways more than the 5w because it is just so much more reliable. Great club, my only complaint is that it was a bit pricier than what I was expecting from Takomo, given the great iron prices, but I still think it was worth the money.

Fun, affordable, and my goodness the 7 wood...

Takomo is changing the game with bringing us affordable, quality clubs that are genuinely great. I've been playing for 15+ years and have been through a bunch of brands, used, new, etc. I haven't been as excited for a brand as I've been for Takomo. The fairway woods have remain unchanged in my bag for a long time. Finally upgraded the 3 wood and got a 7 wood too. They've been really fun to play. I agree with folks that say they sound funny. They sound kind of like the ping G series woods. They are hot, easy to hit, look great at address, forgiving. All in all, for the price, getting a ton of value and fun out of them. Isn't that the point for their target audience?

Ignis D2 3 Fairway

Here’s your review written just how you wanted it:
Takomo Ignis D2 Fairway 3 Wood – Review

From the moment I took this club out of the box, I was blown away by how stunning it looks. The finish is absolutely beautiful, and when you set it down behind the ball, it sits perfectly – it just looks so solid, balanced, and confidence-inspiring right from address. You can tell instantly that a lot of thought has gone into the aesthetics and design.

Performance-wise, this is one of the most forgiving fairway woods I’ve ever used. Even on shots that aren’t perfectly struck, the head keeps the ball online and delivers plenty of distance – mishits don’t lose nearly as much speed or accuracy as they do with other clubs I’ve tried. It really does give you that extra margin for error which makes all the difference out on the course.

I also love the adjustable weight system. It’s really simple to use, and you can tweak the setup easily to suit your swing – whether you want a bit more draw bias, a straighter flight, or a little extra stability, you can get it dialed in exactly how you like. There’s no complicated process, just quick adjustments that make a real difference to how the club performs for you personally.

The choice of shafts available is excellent too – there are options to suit every swing speed and preference, and they look just as amazing as the club head itself. The whole package feels premium and high-quality from top to bottom.

Overall, I am absolutely delighted with this club. It looks incredible, feels great, performs consistently well, and is so easy to customise to your game. If you’re looking for a fairway wood that combines stunning looks with real playability and forgiveness, I can’t recommend the Takomo Ignis D2 highly enough.

Outstanding Performance and Incredible Forgiveness

I’ve been extremely impressed with the IGNIS D2 Fairway Wood. From the first round, it delivered exceptional distance, accuracy, and consistency. The club feels incredibly balanced at impact, providing a solid, confidence-inspiring strike every time.

What stands out most is its forgiveness. Even on off-center hits, the ball still travels with impressive distance and stays on line. The launch is high and penetrating, making it easy to attack long par 4s and reach par 5s in fewer shots.

The sleek design and premium finish give it a professional look in the bag and at address. It performs equally well off the tee and from the fairway, making it one of the most versatile clubs I’ve played.

If you’re looking for a fairway wood that combines distance, forgiveness, and playability, the IGNIS D2 is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for golfers of all skill levels.

Confidence, Distance and Forgiveness

I was lucky enough to get early access to the Takomo Ignis D2 Fairway Wood through The Forge, and I’ve been really impressed with it so far.

First impressions were excellent. It has that clean, understated Takomo look, and it sits really nicely behind the ball. It gives you confidence straight away, which is exactly what I want from a fairway wood.

Performance-wise, it feels powerful but still very playable. The launch is easy, the flight is strong, and it feels forgiving even when the strike is not perfect. I’ve found it just as useful off the tee as from the fairway, which makes it a really versatile club to have in the bag.

The adjustability is a big plus as well. It feels like Takomo have made a fairway wood that can suit a wide range of golfers rather than something that only works for one type of swing. It has a solid, premium feel without looking or feeling overcomplicated.

Overall, I think Takomo have done a brilliant job with the Ignis D2. It looks great, feels great, and delivers exactly what you want from a modern fairway wood: distance, forgiveness and confidence. Getting early access through The Forge made it even better, and it definitely feels like a club worth trying.

7 wood

7 wood

I got the 7 wood with ventus red shaft, this was the first time i hit a 7 wood, and i am happy to say this is a great addition to my bag, it looks sleek, sounds great, and is a lot easier to hit that my other woods. I find that it’s great to have when you are in the rough a lot.

Fast becoming my favorite club

I already have the takomo irons and have been waiting to add to my set. I use to play a callaway 3 wood and could never hit it right. Now that I am using the D2 3 wood, I can finally hit it off the deck and have added about 20 yards to my tee shot. I love this club and am so happy I bought it.

Becoming the best club in my bag

I already have a set of Takomo irons and was looking to add to my bag. I use to have a callaway 3wood and always struggled to hit if off the deck....after getting the D2 3wood, I am actually hitting the ball so well off the deck and have gained probably 20 yards with it off the tee. I love this club and am so happy I pulled the trigger and got it!

The Takomo 7 Wood has been an absolute GAME CHANGER!

The Takomo 7 Wood has been an absolute GAME CHANGER for me!!! I was shooting in the low hundreds but was struggling with long range approach shots and a constant tee shot. With the addition of this 7 Wood I have consistently shot in the low 90s and shot a career best of an 85 after 1 year of playing. I have removed the 4 and 5 iron from my bag as the 7 Wood has been better in every aspect. Easy launch and very consistent/forgiving shots. I am really considering a 3 or 5 Wood now I just need to save up. It didn’t allow me to upload any videos but here are some photos. I definitely recommend this club to anyone that’s debating purchasing it.
