Got these after playing hand-me-downs that were 20+ years old for the last 2 years. The baus Matt Sanovabicci recommended them so I knew they'd be legit. Saw the return policy said if I only use the 7i I figured I'd really put the 7i to the test. Played 9 holes with only that. I'm a 27 handicap and managed to par 2 separate par 4s with my 7i only, including the chips and the putts. I don't know what kind of magic Takomo puts in these clubs but they are the real deal. Insane forgiveness. Sleek look. Incredible feel. If you're on the fence - get them. Cannot beat the quality for the price. love my new Lumo M1 putter black DLC the white line is so easy to line up the ball and I get very consistent strikes. Well worth the money
63 years old and I got my 101 MKii sets customised with MMT 70g shaft, for about 3 weeks now..played 3 rounds per week and feel almost similar to my Taylormade P790.
Slightly harder feel but little bit more distance.
Happy with the price I paid.
Very few Grip choices, why not more? I had to turn right around and spend another $130 to get decent grips.
Clubs are pure butter with center strikes. Not as forgiving as some when miss-hit.
So grateful that Takomo decided to start selling single irons since my pitching wedge was stolen. Shipping and lead time was great. Well packaged.
I’ve had my 201 MKII’s for about three weeks now and I really like how they perform! At first, I was a little nervous about going with a DTC company, but after reading the reviews and reading the customer responses to issues, I decided to give them a try. I am exceptionally happy with my purchase and the performance of these clubs. As a side note, when I received my set, they inadvertently put two five irons in the set instead of including my four iron. After reaching out to customer service, they promptly responded with a response that said a foreign is on its way. With customer service being responsive, I am confident that Tacomo will be around for a long time!
the only thing I didn't like about the experience was lack of status when the clubs would arrive. the clubs themselves are incredible. Worth every dollar and then some.

I was enjoying the wedges until my first shot out of a fluffy fairway bunker left two significant gouges out of the bottom of my brand new 50 degree. I appreciate that wear and tear is part of wedges, but the damage from one shot in a bunker was pretty disappointing. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the 201 MK 2 Irons, but not sure I can trust the durability of them now.
Hi Damian, we’re sorry to hear your new 50° wedge was gouged after a single bunker shot. Unfortunately these types of event are not predictable when there is a bigger stone or rock under the bunker surface, which no wedge can handle. It can either happen after the first or after a thousand shots. We are glad that you are considering getting the 201 MK2's in your bag shortly even though your wedges took an early hit. This putter is the best I ever owed! Feedback is incredible, you immediately feel a mishit but results even on mishits are very good. This one goes exactly the way you want.
Now my Takomo bag is complete: Ignis D2 Driver and Woods 7 and 5, 101t Irons and SF002 Wedges.
