Meet Lumo: Takomo's First Ever Putter Collection

Putting is arguably the most personal part of golf. When you stand over a crucial ten footer, you need absolute trust in the piece of metal in your hands. That is exactly why we built our first ever putter line. We wanted to give you one less thing to worry about over the ball.

Modern low torque putters are incredible for consistency, but they often look like they belong in a science fiction movie. We wanted to fix that. The Takomo Lumo brings modern low torque stability into a clean, timeless, and accessible package. The name itself comes from Finnish, translating closest to pure magic or enchantment. We want you to feel that quiet confidence every time you step onto the green.

Before you decide between the two head shapes, lets look at the DNA they both share.

The Lumo Engine

Whether you go with the blade or the mallet, you are getting uncompromised quality. Every Lumo head is fully machined from a solid block of 303 stainless steel. This gives you that crisp, solid, and incredibly responsive feel you need to dial in your distance control. We paired that premium head with a KBS CT Tour single bend shaft and a custom Takomo edition SuperStroke 2.0PT grip

"Our team had a clear mission: Combine low-torque tech with sculptural design in a putter that looks like a classic, beautiful piece of metal. You get the pure pendulum stroke without any of the visual noise.” - Miikka Farin, Product Designer at Takomo Golf

The Lumo M1 Mallet: Built for Better Forgiveness

If you love looking down at a putter that perfectly frames the golf ball, the M1 is calling your name. The M1 is a mid sized mallet featuring a rounded profile and a deeper center of gravity. That extra depth naturally boosts the MOI, meaning this putter is more forgiving on off center strikes.

The M1 features a 14mm onset. It balances control with supreme confidence at address, aided by a longer alignment sightline to help you track your path directly to the hole. If your priority is forgiveness and elite playability with a larger footprint, grab the mallet.

The Lumo B1 Blade: Timeless Precision

Some golfers simply cannot step away from the classic look of a blade. We get it. The Lumo B1 is a wide body blade redefining traditional performance. By pulling the center of gravity forward, we reduced the onset to just 8mm.

This gives you a beautiful look at address, providing the exact same stability of a low torque design. The B1 balances forgiveness with distance control. If you prioritize stability but demand a clean, timeless shape with zero visual clutter, the B1 is your gamer.

The Verdict: Which one belongs in your bag?

Here is the secret: there is no wrong answer. We didn't design these for a specific handicap range. A scratch golfer and a thirty handicap player can both play either model perfectly.

The choice completely comes down to your visual comfort and personal preference. Look at the top down photos. Which shape makes you feel like you are definitely going to make the putt? Trust your eyes. The profile best fitting your eye is likely the one shaving strokes off your scorecard.

FAQs about Takomo Lumo Putters

What exactly is a low torque putter?

Low torque putters like the Lumo are engineered to minimize the putter heads natural tendency to twist or rotate during your stroke. This promotes a pure, pendulum like stroke where the putter face naturally stays square to your target path, giving you more consistency on the greens.

Is the Lumo designed for a specific handicap?

Not at all. The Takomo Lumo is made to provide consistency for any golfer who values clean lines and intuitive alignment. A scratch golfer and a high handicap player will both benefit from the modern stability. Your choice between the M1 and B1 simply comes down to your visual preference and what gives you the most confidence at address.

Are left handed models available?

Yes. Both the Lumo M1 Mallet and the Lumo B1 Blade are available in right and left handed configurations. You can also choose between the traditional Satin Steel or the Matte Black DLC finish for either model.

Does the putter come with a headcover?

Absolutely. Every Lumo putter includes a premium Kvadrat Ame textile headcover. It features a magnetic closure and a paracord attachment loop to keep your new putter fully protected while looking great in the bag.
