Stepping up the golf game

Takomo has outdone itself with this gem of a product. Big brands should be worried with the sheer quality on display here. My usage was smooth and gratifying, as the iron hit with a perfect mix of strength and accuracy.

TAKOMO 301 MB!! INSANE

I was struggling with left misses, mostly pulls and hooks, with my previous irons. After a fitting session, it was clear I needed a set with no offset, so I decided to go with the Takomo MB irons.

To be honest, I was kind of anxious about it because I couldn't test them anywhere or even see them in person before buying.
But after reading all the positive reviews, I took the plunge and placed my order. I even upgraded the shafts, which made the wait feel even longer—talk about nerve-wracking! LOL.

The shaft options being limited to KBS might be a downside for some, but personally, I wanted the KBS C-TAPER LITE, so it wasn't an issue for me.

When they finally arrived, I was relieved. The heads were smaller than I expected, but they looked clean and sleek with zero offset. It felt like I made the right choice right out of the box.

The next day, I took them straight to the course for a real test, and wow—what a difference! My left misses were almost completely gone, and the feel of these irons is just incredible. On a 189-yard uphill par 3, I hit a slight baby draw with my 6-iron, and it landed so close it was nearly a gimme for birdie!

Even though these are MB irons, they're not as unforgiving as some other MB sets out there. They have just enough forgiveness without feeling like beginner clubs, and the sole isn't overly wide—perfect for my game. Plus, they look even better in person. I can't recommend them enough!

301MB Perfect Players iron

Bought these because of the similarities to the TWP7 irons and I wanted to do a shaft change for my irons. For almost the same cost of replacing the shafts on the TWP7 irons decided to give these a try.

301mb irons are much more forgiving then the tw irons with the same work ability. After my first few rounds I notice better consistency between flush shots and miss hits. Also noticed I'm hitting more greens. Very identical in size and shape. The feel is softer than the TW irons. The sound of both solid strikes and misses are nice. The stock 120g kbs tour shaft is a good combination for someone looking for a high ball flight.

Highly recommend the Takomo brand to anyone quality and price is great. I think in terms of up keeping the bag takomo will be $1000s saved compared to big name brands.

Good looks and Performance

I received my 301 MB's yesterday and hit range with them today. First of all, the look of these irons are amazing, very clean looking and well designed blade. The feel is pure and they are more forgiving than meets the eye. I would recommend these over most $1200-$1400 blades by the big name brands, definitely worth the purchase.

Razor thin blade. Extremely beautiful. Pure.

The 301 MB's job is to be professionally good-looking. "Really, really, ridiculously good-looking." Maybe not as forgiving as the 301 CB, but the looks more than make up for it. I wish they made a 3 iron because I use that club a lot. Ordered this set on a Saturday, from Houston, Texas, and they arrived 7 days later on a Friday. I'm contemplating getting the Skyforger Wedges in 52/56/60.

Had the 301MB’s for about 18 months and still

Had the 301MB’s for about 18 months now and still love them, pure as pure when you don’t try to over hit them, work them both ways, love the buttery feel when you strike them as they should be struck.
I got 95 obsidian graphite with oversized grips, beautiful quality irons and cannot speak highly enough of them and same for the company.
I play off between 1 and 3 and enjoy my golf, usually play around 25 days a month and the irons are holding up fantastically.

These clubs are amazing

I am a single digit handicapper and has always been a good ball striker and these clubs are amazing. I have played titleist ZM blades for the last 20 (ish) years and decided I needed some new clubs. The feel of these clubs are as soft as I have ever hit. Zero distance give up from my previous clubs. Highly recommend.

Very happy with these!

Like some of these other reviews, I was apprehensive. Ordering golf clubs without hitting them? Seeing aggressive comments on IG from people who have been waiting upwards of 10 weeks for clubs? Enough to make even the most stoic of us tremble.

But, I said why not and ordered some custom built 301MBs on June 7th. Takomo was VERY clear in their communications that there was an order backlog and that custom orders could take upwards of 10-12 weeks. Fine with me, my current set was fine and I had nothing major planned this summer so I figured I would just settle in and wait. In a world ruled by big box retailers and "get it by 2pm today" this seemed mad, but I told myself I would be saving about $1000 getting these instead of Mizuno 245 Pros.

I would check the "Order Status" on the website every week or so, delighted each time there was some update. Did not get my hopes up and was still expecting these to be here sometime in August.

I awoke on July 7th to an email "Your Takomo clubs have been shipped!" 4 weeks?!!? Surely a mistake. UPS tracking data provided and sure enough on July 8th a box appeared at my front door. For comparison, I bought 2 sand wedges from a big well known club maker and it took almost the exact same amount of time for them to show up and it took me calling and asking from them.

Now the good stuff. Booked a tee time for the next day and took them out. These are REALLY good clubs. I hadnt hit a blade iron since high school and forgot how good they feel. They are about as long as my old clubs (which is fine, wasnt looking for distance) but the CONTROL is really nice. I will hopefully play these clubs for a long time. It was so good out there I started videoing some of my shots a la golf influencer because I had to document the sound/flight of the golf ball.

Will I regret a blade 4 iron in a few years? Maybe. Will I regret going with Takomo? Never.

Top-notch at a bargain

This iron is such an exceptional value. Its feel is slick and smooth, making every swing effortless. No surprise I see it everywhere.

Exceptional quality at unbeatable price

Used various blades for 40 years, but these 301 MB irons outshine them all. Soft touch, precise strike required, but that's the nature of any MB/blade. Their performance rivals those that cost 2-3 times more, offering astounding value. Would appreciate more customization, even if it means a slight price increase. Overall, a superb set of irons.

Wasn't expecting this

I'm one of those masochists who probably isn't good enough to play a blade, but I'm honestly shocked how well I hit these. Like another reviewer stated, they're oddly forgiving (for a blade that is.) Even my bad strikes still seemed to get me the yardage I needed. The feel isn't as soft as some, but it's still very satisfying. And while they're very responsive, mis-hits don't send a lightning bolt through your arm which is nice. Spin rates were a bit lower than what I'm used to but nothing crazy (200-300revs.) Overall, these live up to the hype and I'm stoked to have them in my bag!

301MBs

Was using Mizuno JPX923 Hot Metal Pros. They were great, but would have a large dispersion on iron shot talked. A friend convinced me to try a MB but just buying the HMP's last year I didn't want to dish out another $1,500. A friend bought the 101T's and talked the quality up. I ordered based of their fitting guide and contemplated between a combo set or just MBs, I went MBs. Played a few rounds with them now and have stuck more greens with them already. If you worried about MB vs CB. Make the jump. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

Very happy

I got a set of the mbs and they are excellent. They feel like butter and they are some of the best looking clubs I've ever seen. I get a lot of compliments and questions about them on the coarse. The 4i was a little intimidating behind the ball at first but I love it. They showed up way faster than I expected too.

Best blade iron I have tried, beautiful, feels great to hit for blade iron

The 301MB irons feel really good and highly workable. Love them. I have been working on them and getting use to them. I will be taking them out to the course for the first time this weekend.

I am also looking at getting the wedges to make a set. I do love my Titlelist TSR driver and woods and will be keeping these.

I may look at the utility iron down the road.

Best Purchase Ever

I was a little worried being a high handicapper switching to these irons, but man they are the perfect club for me! They look nice, feel nice, and play nicely to my style, and very easy to hit surprisingly. And I broke 80 With them!

BEST PURCHASE I EVER MADE!!

I am a scratch golfer and I purchased the 301 combo set about 4 months ago and was not disappointed at first glance! Once I put em in play…. .was so surprised at how forgiving the MBs are (wished I had just gotten the MBs) to be blades! CBs even more forgiving! Feel and workability is amazing. Looking forward to my next set hopefully couple years from now and may go all MBs! Can't go wrong with this purchase!

The reasons why you should buy 301 MB irons

1. Excellent appearance
Have you ever seen an iron that has a better look than this one? By my opinion, I can't think of anything other than the P730 and 620MB.

2. Excellent quality
Among the products experienced so far, TAKOMO is superior to any major manufacturer's product.

3. Affordable price
There is no need to argue. The only thing you can buy at this price is used one.

4. Nice packing
It was packaged well enough to prevent damage to the product unless the TNT bursts from the side.

5. Surprise gifts
Unexpected cap and ball towel make you feel even better.

Great irons

Nothing beats the feeling when you hit a pin point shot 210 yards out with the 4 iron. The ball just stopped at the moment it hit the green (yes it still rolled a bit, but only like 5 feet).

The only issue is that, my wife hates the clubs as they are so beautiful that I have started to ignore her just to staring at the clubs every time I get home.
