The forgiveness these clubs give you is incredible you can miss hit them and the ball will still in a very straight direction and distance is amazing will recommend these for beginners and high handicap players.

Great irons and a fantastic look. The only thing bringing it down was the shipping time, i waited about 2 months for my irons which was unexpected. I got a cap and a towel with my irons which was nice.

I was referred by A friend of mine who got a set of Takomo 201 MKII's with KBS Tour Stiff Steel shaft (he's a 9 Handicap) and after seeing his performance with the new clubs, I was impressed! Tried them and immediately wanted a new set. I just didn't know if I wanted the 101's or the 201's. I spent multiple hours trying to find a good set of clubs that checked off what I wanted in irons! This included: forgiveness, distance, quality, and price point. Every review I read lead me back to Takomo's 101 MKII Irons! Especially for my higher handicap skill set.

So, I ordered the 101 MKII with the KBS Tour Regular Steel Shafts and standard grips; also, that way I could get them as soon as possible, as I had a big golf trip planned with the guys. Placed the order and received them within 10 days of ordering it! When I opened the box, it was a wow moment! Each club was very well individually wrapped, and it even had a free hat and golf towel in the box with the order!

Took them immediately to my local pro shop and got them regripped (to Jumbo Size CPX Golf Pride Grips), then went to the range! Over 5 days, I hit about 600 balls. The reviews don't lie! The variable thickness on the club face was very forgiving, and I gained an average of 15-20 yards on my 5-8 irons! Played 4 rounds so far, and my handicap dropped from 25 last year to a 20 this year (based on 4 rounds)! Every shot, even miss hits fly straight or draws. It's very tough to hit a hook or slice with these!

They don't offer a Jumbo grip option for custom orders.

Advice:
Get use to the extra distance you gain with this clubs, you may need to club down! The standard club lengths were perfect for someone who is 6'2. Also, go to a local pro shop and get your swing speed before ordering. I ordered the KBS Tour Steel Regular shaft (as my swing speed was an 80 on the dot - in between regular and stiff shaft for my swing speed), and looking back I should have got the KBS Tour steel stiff shafts. Regardless, I'm very satisfied with the results!

I highly recommend these Iron's to anyone, especially those who want to improve their performance, see more distance, and get comfortable without the nerves of hitting a hook or slice on the fairway! AAA+++

I took these for the first time onto the course yesterday, after a few driving range sessions. I was skeptical after the driving range sessions, but onto the course (par 3 track though), all skeptism dissapeared. So accurate, very forgiving, even if i hit it not dead center. with my old set, i could have taken a new ball then, not here, played my first 9 with one ball, isntead of 5 or 6.

I noticed also distance, very accurate as well, all bring me within a nice radius of my desired range and position. I checked them with trackman on distance as well, and they all have a nice gap of 8 to 10 meters, giving me a lot of accuracy to work with.

Super happy with them, next week i am gonna take them up for a golf weekend and multiple full 18 holes. Already excited about it now i played with these clubs

These irons feel great. Solid contact and easy to swing.

I only took a star off because of a few combined things. The finish doesn’t hold up well. 1 round and there are a lot of scratches. Not a huge deal and doesn’t affect the club at all. The grips don’t stand out either. They feel average.

Other than that, I do not regret the purchase at all, and will most likely be ordering another wedge here shortly.

I’m a high handicapper who bought the wrong iron set 5 years ago (think blade-adjacent) and have paid the price ever since. Takomo to the rescue! I just played my first 9 with my brand new 101 MKII and to say that I’m impressed would be the understatement of the century. Perfectly balanced weighting and plenty forgiving to get plenty of distance when my swing gets away from me and my contact gets a little toe-y. I’m a customer for life!

Do not buy. The reviews on these clubs are all too good to be true. I just purchased the takomo 101 mkii’s on April 9th. Had them two days and 10 holes before the 5iron broke on a very clean tee shot. I had two people with me that couldn’t believe what they witnessed. The club didn’t touch the ground nor did my swing make a divot. The club head flew off after contact. Very disappointed as I took the time to regrip all of the clubs before one broke just 11holes in. The more I read on this, the more I see other customers with similar issues to mine with club heads snapping clean off. It seems most people put the blame on the shafts being used. If I didn’t live it myself, I wouldn’t believe it but the cleanest of shots caused the head to fly right off.

Irons felt fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but the same day I got them I was trying them out at the range, and after about 5 hits with my brand new 5 iron, the head flew off. They replaced it and it should be here in 4-6 weeks, but it’s unnerving that the head did that. Ignoring the obvious, the irons felt great and flew straight

My order (201s) was back ordered. So this was going to take a while to fill. I was emailed and asked if I would like to change the order. Or just get a refund. I was shocked to get this option.
I'm extremely happy that I changed to the 101 mkII irons.
I've had them out only once, so far. I'm very happy with the 101 mkII irons. They look and feel great! The flight is a very nice mid trajectory with the regular flex tour light shaft. The feel was soft and the sound is oh so pleasant.
I definitely see what the hype is over these irons.
The midsize grips then got back ordered. I caught this so I just went with the standard grips. Arthritis makes these grips painful. So I changed these grips (this would have happened anyway).
I put SuperStroke Cross Comfort oversize grips on them. Super happy with my purchase!

Ordering was extremely easy. I received. My clubs in 7 days. Very nice packaging and great free gifts. I’ve been practicing with them twice. G-P and 9 iron are going in the bag for my tournament this weekend. Still need to put in some work on the others.

I just got the iron heads in the mail yesterday, I actually ordered my own shafts, grips and ferrules, to make custom clubs. After researching and coming across this set, it was everything I was looking for in irons, forgiving, the exact lofts I wanted, weighted the way I needed, and looked absolutely amazing. I assembled my own set irons and make them the exact lengths I wanted for my swings speeds so my spin numbers are spot on. After a few swings of adjusting to the new irons, they were absolutely amazing, off center hits were going straight, and the sound of these clubs contacting the irons are better than I could have ever imagined!

Amazing experience with Takomo. I absolutely love my new 101 MKii the feel is amazing and as a new golfer I already see how forgiving they are. I went multiple times to my local golf store before choosing to go with Takomo and it was the right decision without a doubt. Everything on these irons feels premium, for 30% cheaper than the big brands. I also really like the fact that they have the clean look of a blade. Shipping was also great. Took 2 days to fulfill and then 1 day to arrive at my house in Canada wich is kind of crazy. Also love the complimentary towel and hat!
