Customers praised this driver for exceptional forgiveness, distance, and accuracy, with many reporting straight drives and increased confidence. The adjustable weights and shaft options allow customization. However, some noted limited senior shaft availability, occasional durability concerns with face wear and stripped weights, and slow customer service response times.

First off make sure you get the right shaft. I had an R-Flex Kirkland but realized my spin was too high. I know im not a stiff flex. Did research and got the Ventus Blue 6 R. And ive easily gained 15-20 yards . Now for the driver..
Took it to the simulator and was piping shots straight. Took it to the course and i was pulling and hooking BUT thats my nerves . I put the 8g weight in the toe and went back to straight drives! They nailed it . Between the look , performance and shaft . Amazing results for the price . Can’t beat the price! Id go get fit at a shop to get your swing numbers then just order the Takomo driver with the information. Cheers!
Overall the driver is great. The buying and shipping was awesome and any experience with customer service has been A+
However the adjustable weight in the toe is stripped and I'm unable to remove it. I e only ever used the provided tool and I find it a little concerning that something so simple is of such poor quality. For someone who has raved about the driver (and honestly still love it) and was getting ready to purchase a set of irons I'm now having second thoughts.
Maybe I was unlucky, but I am now questioning the build quality……but the driver still performs awesome, I've just lost some adjustability.
What an amazing company. This was next level service for your customers to correct mistakes. Amazing.
Love this company and their products. Great customer service and quick to ship.
I love the driver BUT can’t understand the poor staff selection. I have the irons, love them, the new fairway 3 wood with a senior shaft love it. The D1 driver sounds good, lines up well but I need a senior shaft. I hit the new 3 wood. 20 yards further than my driver because the shaft in the 3 wood is a senior flex. Obviously I’m a fan as I have a complete bag of Takomas but I am very disappointed there isn’t a senior shaft option for the driver. In Hindsight, I should have waited or purchased a brand that has a senior flex. I have reached out to Takoma on several occasions with no success in the shaft availability. I do love the rest of your products and have encouraged many friends to purchase Takomas but feel a little overlooked on the senior shaft.
Thank you for your detailed feedback and loyalty to Takomo! We’re glad you love the driver and your other clubs. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the senior shaft options. We’re continually working to expand our offerings and appreciate your patience. We'll pass your comments to our team to improve our shaft selection.

Just got back from a driving range session. Driver is awesome. I was playing a STMax and a gt2. The Ignis is way more powerful than the ST Max and way easier to control than the GT2. Hammering drives down the range. Really excited to put this in play. I am an 8.2 handicap and expect to drop a couple of numbers on my handicap from this driver. Par 5’s are now in range. I play all of my golf in Myrtle Beach so I will get to try it on multiple courses. Shout out to the Bryan Bros because I watch them all the time and they are who led me to this product.
Everything as advertised. Love the adjustment available. Still working on whats best for me but its a great driver.
The bad part is the shaft selection choice. It does not have the senior shaft for the senior player as well as selling the adapter separately so that i can use with other senior shaft. The cost of shipping is significant and return shipping cost as well.
Thanks for taking the time to share this! We hear you loud and clear on the senior shafts and adapters. Comments like yours push us forward, and we’re actively working to expand our options.
Just got new driver, took to range, played one round. Way more confidence off the tee with lower dispersion. Only getting like 265-270 right now but that is to ball speed which is in the 140s right now. Absolutely love it and have my irons and wedges on the way! Let’s go takomo!
Today I used my new Takomo D1 Ignis for the very first time. A quick back story. I bought a Titleist G2 Driver about 6 months ago after being away from golf for 10 years. I had not even heard about Takomo at that point. I found You Tube golf and also Takomo brand. I have all Takomo Irons and wedges and now Driver. I am waiting for the fairway woods to complete my bag. Back to the Ignis. I did not have time to practice it before the tee time. My first hit was on 1st tee. I have the 6S shaft, 3 Gm weights in the middle and the toe and the 8 gm weights in the heal. I set the shaft in N position to start. I also moved from the 9degree G2 to the 10.5 degree Ignis. That was the perfect move. My carry increased minimum 30 yards. I did not slice one shot all day. Mostly straight, a couple with a slight draw. I hit at least 90% fairways, and what i missed what just in 1st cut to the left. I am notorius with the G2 slicing a few out the right even set in the strongest draw bias. My brother wanted one by the 3rd hole. But he is a lefty, so i told him he’ll have to wait. Anyway I look at it. This driver was a game changer for me. I enjoyed driving with it and was getting great results. It made me feel like a real golfer. Lol. BTW, i am 63, and i have about a 90-95 club head speed these days. Hole 18 , i hit the longest drive of my year on this course and 5 yards into the fairway from the left 1st cut. Thanks Takomo. Great Driver. I can’t wait to get my fairway woods. That is the last thing i have to upgrade in my bag. And I’m not wasting another dime on any other product until your get your fairway woods drop. 😁
Love it! Can’t wait to use it.
Amazing quality!!!
This driver gives me a high level of control and accuracy in every swing. It's comfortable grip and light weight design make it a joy to use.
I'm honestly not sure how this product can be properly reviewed, as I was never able to use it.
When I received the product, the shaft adapter was defective, which made it impossible to securely attach the clubhead to the shaft. Because of this, the club was never playable. I contacted Takomo expecting the issue to be resolved, but after waiting several days for a response, I was told that the damage was "self-caused" and therefore not covered under warranty. That response was surprising, as it is generally very difficult to cross-thread these components, and I strongly believe I was sent a defective shaft adapter.
After that, I sent three follow-up emails asking whether I could either purchase a replacement adapter or send my shaft in for repair or replacement. I never received a response to any of those emails, which felt extremely unprofessional.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I am already a loyal Takomo customer — I currently play the 201 irons and the Skyforger wedges (58, 54, and 50). The only reason I am writing this now is because Takomo recently responded to a friend of mine, who unknowingly reached out on my behalf asking if a shaft adapter could be purchased separately. Takomo replied that replacement adapters are not sold and that a completely new shaft would need to be purchased. This is not a generic adapter, so if it breaks, the only option is to buy an entirely new shaft.
Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing, particularly given my past loyalty to the brand. The lack of support and refusal to offer a reasonable solution has left a very negative impression.
Damn. We apologize for the substandard experience you have had and want to make it right with a proper replacement. Our policy is not to ghost anyone - in this case, the messages with large attachments simply got stuck and didn't pass through all the systems to reach our support team. We are working to prevent this from happening again.
I already had this shaft on my driver now Great product.
Sort of feels like the Calloway Rogue. I get distance but still need to hit it a few more times and play a few more rounds to see the forgiveness.
Great looking club.
The moment this club touches the ground, confidence soars. Left my old qi35 due to high flight, no roll and excess spin. With this, my ball flies lower and runs at least 10 yards more. Wish Takomo sold the adapter for my favorite shaft.
I'm enjoying my new Takomo Driver! It is very forgiving! Not does it look great it feels great to swing! Highly recommend the Takomo Driver! I can't wait for my custom Irons I ordered!
Love the driver, getting better numbers than with my SIM2, but don't like that you can't change shafts.
First came the 201 irons, which I absolutely adore. Then the D1 driver came into my life. It took me a few rounds to tune it to my liking, but now it consistently sends my shots straight and far, about 280-310 off the tee. I've also bought three wedges, all of which perform wonderfully. To top it all off, the cost won't break the bank, which is a big plus in our household...happy wife happy golfing life 😉🫡
Previously only had driving range thoughts but now I've played it several rounds this driver is better than expected results. A Great sign to real good experiences is the lack of lost balls off the Tee! Played a round on a hard course with ONE ball. PGA Frisco Fields Ranch West. ONE ball. ! Straight T shots as needed, slight fade when and where I considered it needed. Overall it's a keeper. Other course my iron play and hybrid fairway shots needed better. Lost a few there. But the driver held up.
This is my first purchase of a driver in years. I will say that overall, I am satisfied with the product. Though I will admit I wish there were more options to adjust the clubhead angle. The 9° club is overall good, but it would have been nice to be able to adjust to 9 1/2 or 10°. I have utilized it in the simulator a few times and have been happy with the response in that setting. I’ve only had the opportunity to play on an actual course, a couple of times. The results are mixed. But, I believe with time, I will get a better feel and understanding of how to hit it. I do like the grip and the shaft is great for my clubhead SPEED.
Great Quality!
Great Craftsmanship! Excited To Try It Out!
